Census Schedule: BEFORE, the decennial Census was scheduled for 2021 but faced indefinite delays. NOW, the 16th Census is officially notified to be conducted in 2027.

Caste Enumeration: BEFORE, the general Census only enumerated Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs). NOW, the 2027 Census will include a comprehensive enumeration of all castes, including Other Backward Classes (OBCs).

Policy Baseline: BEFORE, the 2011 Census and the unpublished SECC 2011 data served as an outdated baseline for welfare schemes. NOW, the 2027 data will provide a modernized baseline for resource allocation and the upcoming Delimitation Commission.
